Looking to start a old coin collection does anyone have 1800s morgan dollars for sale. let me know?leave email

Chosen Answer:

Since condition is so important on those coins, the first thing you might wish to do is get a reference book of some sort. I found out quickly that it is very easy to pay way too much if you don’t know something about grading coins.
After that, check out what is for sale on eBay. Watching what other people pay for coins will give you an idea of what you should pay.
I don’t have any for sale, but I can answer specific questions about other coins you may see for sale. You can contact me by clicking on my avatar.

What is the best coin cleaner for my coins?

Posted by on Monday, 5 December, 2011

I have various U.S. coins and would like to get all the dirt and grime off of them. Thanks for your answers!p.s I need something cheap

Chosen Answer:

You clean a coin and it loses it’s value real fast. There is no cheap coin cleaner anyway. Best bet leave them alone. It takes a pro to do it right and they know what coins can and can not be cleaned safely. I would hate to see you lose money on your coins, so it really is best to leave them alone.

How do I get extra Pearls and Coins on Happy Aquarium?

Posted by on Friday, 2 December, 2011

Ya’ll know that game on Facebook? Happy Aquarium?
How do Me and my BFF CluBBi LAnii get more Pearls and Coins?
HELP!

Chosen Answer:

Forget about the dumb pearls, you have to PAY for them with real money. Forget about offers, they’re not worth it. If you HAVE to have something in a game, just buy .99 worth.

COINS, that’s easy, just go into your friends tanks and click on their treasure chests. If you don’t have HA friends, join their group and ask people to add you. You don’t need that many coins once you are in this game a while…. for me, I only go into other people’s tanks to clean them to gain experience… almost got the last fish.

P.S. Fishworld is much more fun. cHECK IT OUT.

Where can i buy something to keep my collection of coins?

Posted by on Thursday, 1 December, 2011

I’ve been wanting to buy something to keep my coins in – like a folder so i can store but view my coins. Like a stamp album i guess…any ideas?

Chosen Answer:

Your best bet is a local coin dealer. They should have many options which will allow you to view either one side or both sides of the coins, depending on how you want to display them.
2×2 ‘flips’ are cardboard containers designed to have its ends be stapled together with a coin in the display window. This will show off both sides of the coin and you can label them however you wish. Combined with clear plastic pages, which usually hold 20 of the flips, this is the most expensive and time consuming option (we are talking a few dollars total for about 50 flips, a few plastic pages to hold them, staples, etc.), but also the most personalized. Usually only dealers have these types of supplies, although a good hobby shop may have some as well (or look on-line). You can then put the pages in a typical 3 ring binder that you can find at an office supply store.
Whitman folders are another option. They usually show only 1 side of each coin (unless you get the deluxe versions) and many already come labeled with each date, and mint combination. They can also come with blank openings, which will allow you to label them yourself. These can be found in coin shops, hobby shops, and bookstores.
I typically use flips, but I have both types of holder and have been doing this for a while. The folders are cheaper and do a good job as well. It really comes down to what you like best.

Has anyone ever heard of throwing coins on the floor of a new vehicle for good luck?

Posted by on Tuesday, 29 November, 2011

My aunt is visiting from New York and I just got a new truck so she threw a bunch of coins on the floor of my truck and then said some Catholic prayer and said it was for good luck and my safety. Has anyone ever heard of this before, or is it just something they do in New York? I live in Dallas, so I don’t know, I’ve never heard of it before. Just wondering?

Chosen Answer:

In Japan they use Salt.

what to do if i want to sell my premium coin collection?

Posted by on Tuesday, 22 November, 2011

world coins in all grades

Chosen Answer:

This is something you need to have checked out by a dealer. Go somewhere and see someone you can trust. Don’t be afraid to get second opinions. They will be able to tell you what the collection is worth. You could also buy a krause manual for identifying world coins and look the prices up in it. You should know however that krause books can get pricey.

What are some games to help a 5 year old count coins?

Posted by on Monday, 14 November, 2011

Something simple, interactive. She’s learning how to count coins in school and I want to play a game with her to make it more fun and easier to learn.

Chosen Answer:

Play “grocery store”. Set out some items to sell and give her change. Tell her its 35 cents. Help her figure out what coins she needs.

what should i buy for a coin collector?

Posted by on Monday, 7 November, 2011

My dad has a big coin collection and i don’t know anything about coins. I want to get something that will add to his collection for a gift. I was looking at ebay but i have no clue whats good and whats bad. Could someone struggle a suggestion on what to buy. I would like to buy off ebay and something under 100. Just give me some links.

Chosen Answer:

its unlikely you get ripped off if you go to a local dealers, i have found some by just looking on google and google maps. what i did was just punch in coin and the place i live. if no luck just google it, your bound to find some. I got some dealers hear where i live and some are really cheap coins too. The kind of coins they sell are international coins, China, Russia, German, Mexico ect… so maybe you can look local dealer instead fo online like Ebay.

What are pros and coins on A positive blood type?

Posted by on Thursday, 3 November, 2011

What are the pros and coins on A positive blood type? Can donate to all other types? Am I able to receive only from certain types of blood?

Chosen Answer:

There really aren’t a lot of advantages or disadvantages to having one blood type over another.
However, since you are female, it is definitely better to have Rh+ blood. Rh- women can sometimes have problems with pregnancies that produce Rh+ babies. It is something that can be managed, but you have to get shots and some additional blood work and I imagine it can be a little bit of a hassle.
People with type A blood can safely receive either type A blood or type O blood and these 2 types make up about 87% of the population. In the unlikely event that you were to receive blood that was not intended for you (for example: your room mate in the hospital needs blood and they give it to you instead), the likelihood that a problem would arise from this is about half that of someone with type O blood. People with type O blood can only receive type O blood, so less than half of all blood is compatible with type O people.
Another small advantage to having type A blood is that it is very common so there is almost always a very adequate supply of it. Type O is very common as well but since it is sometimes used on people with other blood types it is not unusual for it to be in short supply. Occasionally hospitals are forced to cancel elective surgeries on people with type O blood because the supply of O blood is critically low.
So yes, there are a couple of minor advantages to having type A blood. Hope this wasn’t too confusing. Sometimes it’s hard to explain this without getting too technical.
