All bank notes today are Federal Reserve Notes with green Treasury seals and serial numbers É but until the Series of 1963, the unusual and rarely-seen United States Notes also circulated with other types of currency. United States Notes feature distinctive RED Treasury seals and serial numbers. They disappeared from circulation long ago and are now treasured pieces of American history.
